Our Father’s Dream, Genre: (Action, Drama)
LET’S MAKE A MOVIE!
Based on the book (Check out the book here), I have a script written for what could be an Oscar contender.
Logline: The only survivors of the massacre of their village, two young children run for their lives. Pursued by genocidal marauders, they must cross the most dangerous land on earth.
Inspired by true events and set in South Sudan, Africa, Our Father’s Dream tells the harrowing story of David Osman, 10, and his younger sister Mary, 9. Their lives are shattered when they witness the brutal murder of their parents during a violent raid on their village. Before his death, their father made David promise to protect Mary and take her to safety in America.
To fulfill this promise, David must lead Mary across 2,000 miles of unforgiving terrain. Their journey takes them through scorching deserts, dense jungles, and raging rivers. Along the way, they face starvation, wild animals, and the constant threat of death. Their greatest danger, however, comes from Colonel Hoth and his marauders, who are determined to silence the last witnesses of their atrocities.
This story is not just about survival but about the unbreakable bond between siblings and the resilience of the human spirit. David’s courage and determination to keep his promise drive the narrative, making it a powerful tale of hope and perseverance. As a UCLA Extension graduate in screenwriting and an English major from Cal State University, I bring years of experience to this project. I’ve written six screenplays and produced over 20 TV shows, shorts, and a feature film, Bigfoot Chronicles. If you’re interested in reading the full script of Our Father’s Dream, let me know, and I’ll send you a copy. This is a story that deserves to be told.
